As we know, nowadays issues in the agriculture field are a major concern. According to the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar, 5,579 Indian farmers died by suicide in 2020. There are many conflicting reasons for farmer suicides which are mentioned by Activists and scholars but high debt burdens, crop failure, mental health, and personal issues have been some of the most common causes amongst them. So, what is the solution that would work in farmers’ favor? The answer is “Agricultural Automation”. Farmers have to face problems like soil erosion which is caused due to excessive or scanty water supply. Crops are not available with the quality needed. There are also problems of water scarcity; hence optimum use of water is necessary. Farmers have to water the crops manually in any circumstances, regardless of the atmospheric conditions, like high temperature causing sunstroke or heavy rainfall causing dangerous diseases or extensively low temperatures deteriorating farmers’ health. The majority of these problems would be solved if Agricultural Automation is brought into practice.

Abstract This research was designed to determine and compare the technical efficiency and input levels used in rice production under farmer managed irrigation systems (FMIS) and rain fed systems (RFS) in Kogi State. It also compared the effects of socioeconomic characteristics on the technical efficiency of farmers in the FMIS and RFS. Four null... Continue Reading
Abstract  Drought is the most important limiting factor in the production of crops in agriculture; it is becoming an increasingly severe problem, sharpening its ends due to dynamic changes in climatic variables. Tobacco is one of the major cash crops that is being grown by many farmers, but its production potential is often constrained by the... Continue Reading
